Why do I receive "Invalid account" or "No connection" error?

Modified on Fri, 6 Mar at 12:29 AM

If you see "Invalid Account" or "No connection" error when using MetaTrader platform, it may be caused by the following reasons:

  • "Invalid Account" error means that the account number, password or the server was entered incorrectly.
  •  Your demo account is expired. In such case you need to open a new demo account.
  • "No connection" error may be caused by poor internet connection or a problem with the server.

To solve the difficulty, you can try following the next steps:

1. Incorrect account credentials

  • Make sure you enter your username and password correctly. Account numbers consist of digits, and passwords are case-sensitive.

2. Wrong server

  • Make sure you select the correct server. When logging in, it is necessary to select the corresponding broker's server.

3. Network connection issues

  • Check your network connection to make sure your device can access the internet. Try reconnecting to the internet or restarting your router.

4. Broker server issues

  • Sometimes, the problem may be on the broker’s end, such as server maintenance or outages. It is recommended to check the broker's official website or contact Support.

5. Firewall or security software

  • Some firewalls or security software may block MetaTrader’s connection. Check your firewall settings to make sure MetaTrader is allowed to access the network. You can also check your credentials in web version of MetaTrader. If you could login to your trading account the problem is most likely related to your terminal or firewall.

If the issue persists, please submit a ticket for further support.
