The inactivity commission (also referred to as a dormant fee) is a monthly fee charged to trading accounts that have remained inactive for an extended period.
A trading account is considered inactive when both of the following conditions are met:
- There are no open positions.
- There has been no trading or non-trading activity for 90 consecutive calendar days.
Once an account becomes inactive, an inactivity commission may be applied to maintain the open status of the account.
How is the inactivity commission charged?
- The inactivity commission is $10 per month per inactive trading account.
- Inactive accounts are reviewed once a month.
- The commission is deducted directly from the balance of the inactive trading account.
- If the account balance is less than $10, the entire remaining balance will be deducted, bringing the account balance to $0.
⚠️ Important:
- The inactivity commission is never deducted from your Wallet.
- Only trading accounts are subject to this commission.
How can I avoid the inactivity commission?
You can avoid the inactivity commission by taking either of the following actions:
Keep your trading account active by executing at least one trade or non-trading operation within every 90-day period.
Transfer all funds from your trading account(s) to your Wallet before the account reaches 90 days of inactivity. Funds stored in your Wallet are exempt from inactivity fees!
Can the inactivity commission be refunded?
Once an inactivity commission has been debited, it cannot be returned or refunded.
Where will the commission appear in my account?
If charged, the inactivity commission will appear in your "Transaction history".
